This site has been dishing out blogs since 2013. Nine years.
In that time, it’s covered everything from trophy wins to the unthinkable – Tottenham finishing above us. There’s been player profiles, articles on people who have made Arsenal what it is today. Even fictional stories written for no other reason as to raise a smile.
The thing that has been abundant during it all however, is the connections I have made with some pretty special fellow Gooners. Fellow writers.
And so I thought I would pass on a pretty special list. Think of it as a circle of trust. People to put on your reading list that will provide you with entertaining and unbiased reading material about the club we all adore. After nearly a decade of writing about Arsenal – I’ve noticed more than a few sites and writers that have really stood out against the growing tide of clickbait and hyperbole.
So bookmark these pages – you won’t regret it:
The guy running this site – Chris – has been writing Arsenal blogs for longer than I have. And the quality has never wavered. He’s funny, his take on our club is always fresh and honest and he gives a different perspective at times. Regular content that doesn’t give an aftertaste. Must read.
A Bergkamp Wonderland
This pod has been running for a while – and for good reason. Danny, the guy behind it, has an exhaustive knowledge and off-the-wall humour. That makes it compelling listening. Tune in!
Rumours of a comeback for this fabled site. It is packed with blogs from the last ten years – as well as recordings of a hilarious podcast. It doesn’t post much right now – but keep it in your bookmarks, signs of life abound…
Diary of Darren Berry
Darren’s diary of his Arsenal-related musings have always been one of the more titillating blogs around. He has now forayed into writing books, with two available to buy right now.
The Highbury Library
A personal favourite. A compendium of Arsenal sites, stats and articles that will mean you’re forever equipped in an Arsenal quiz. Save this site to your reading list. It refreshes automatically from a trusted list of Arsenal sites. It’s gold.
A great site that always gives food for thought. Tackles the issues of the club head on and keeps you abreast of all the latest. Great site.
The all-conquering Arseblog recently turned 20 years old. And its longevity is for good reason. The best writers, an epic podcast and always offers a constant stream of content – especially for Arsenal Women too, thanks to Tim Stillman. Can’t be faulted, if you haven’t got this in your bookmarks, are you even a Gooner?
You Are My Arsenal (YAMA)
Great blogs, a podcast – Food for the eyes and the ears.
A site inspired by and dedicated to one of the finest Arsenal writers and fans you’re ever likely to have known – Dave Faber. Dave isn’t with us anymore but his warmth and humour are in abundance with this site, which is run by friends of Dave who wanted to carry on what he always offered – great Arsenal content written by knowledgeable Gooners. You’re going to love this site.
A podcast featuring an occasional celeb, but always packed with talking points, mirth and the perfect seasoning of objective opinion. Get listening.
Jeorge Bird’s Arsenal Youth
